As a family-owned business, we were founded with the desire to do it better. Working together with teams of highly skilled architects, designers and tradesmen that want to develop a better way to build.
JSCS Inc. was founded in 2013 with a mission to perfect the commercial improvement and renovation experience. We heard from so many commercial tenants about their project nightmares, issues with permitting, architects, designers, and costs. Together with expert architects, creative designers, and hand-picked sub-contractors, we reinvented the commercial renovation process resulting in a better way to plan, design, build and manage commercial projects large and small.
The JSCS process is fully integrated - from planning your space to personalizing and integrating your design ideas, right through to permitting, construction and the final close-out, we are available every step of the way.
Meet Our Team
Jeff Smith
Chief Executive Officer
As the founder of JSCS Inc., Jeff started his construction journey framing houses with his uncles during summer breaks in middle school. He worked his way through UC Davis as a cement finisher. Later he worked for numerous contractors until eventually getting his own contractor's license in 1991. Jeff continues to carry on a family legacy of clarity, quality, and performance. His precise attention to detail along with his reputation for service excellence have earned him years of repeat commercial construction business.
Steve Smith
General Superindentent
With over 30 years of experience and 30 hours of OSHA certification, Steve has an impressive portfolio of completed projects which include, multi-story hotels, fast food restaurants, grocery remodels, production bakery, Starbucks, Round Table Pizza, tire shops, and multiple office buildings throughout the Sacramento area.
Steve's keen attention to detail and commitment to service excellence makes Steve a priceless asset to the JSCS Inc. family and our customers.
Angela Wilder
Corporate Secretary / Office Manager
When you call JSCS Inc. you get Angela on the other line. Angela is our office manager, bookkeeper, and corporate secretary. Wearing many hats, she is responsible for both front and back-office duties include accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and has even been known to submit plans and pull permits in a pinch.
Attending ARC and CRC, Angela has studied general business and accounting courses as well as business software applications and small business management.
Cole Smith
Painter & Finishing Technician
Cole Smith, son of Jeff, has been working at his father's side since high school as a painter and finishing technician.
After high school he earned an associate degree in Mechatronics from Sierra College.
Cole has proven to be an asset to the JSCS Inc. team through his attention to detail and service excellence.
Cole's hobbies include history, archery, and gaming.
Jesse Smith
Project Engineer
Jeff's first-born son worked for several years in the family business after leaving high school. Jesse moved into a restaurant as a bartender while working through his Business Entrepreneurship degree. Post graduation he transitioned into a sales position in the automotive industry. Jesse has a strong work ethic and over a decade of customer service experience. He is an articulate communicator with a friendly disposition and collaborative professional style. After a few successful years he ended up coming full circle and returning to the family business as an estimator and Project Engineer. Jesse's responsibilities entail field estimates, project management, billing, contractor & client relations.
In his free time, he enjoys playing and producing his own music, camping, riding motorcycles & ATV's, shooting & hunting.
